SIXTY SECONDS IN TOUCH

Welcome to the pre-NTL edition of Sixty Seconds in Touch…excitement is building as the NTL nears, with the kick-off this Friday at 9:00am. There will be action aplenty from the first touch, with defending Champions in the Mens 20’s, the Southern Suns, facing the Sydney Mets side, a consistent finals player in the Mens 20’s until their slip in 2005...a huge match to kick-off the 2006 tournament!

  • The link to the NTL results website is up and running. Just visit www.austouch.com.au and then check out the story containing the link. The TFA Sporting Pulse results website has the fixtures, results, ladders and statistics from the event. It will be updated after each round by tournament volunteer Matt Wood.

  • To grab all other news, info and stories on the NTL, simply check out the everyday TFA website www.austouch.com.au. Rachel Grant and Lisa Plummer will be writing and uploading feature stories, match reports, summaries of all the action and plenty more. There will also be photographs from Sporting Images and reports ‘From the Fishbowl’. (Adam and Kane are once again set to provide their genius commentaries on each day’s action.)

  • Make sure you grab your copy of the NTL program when you hit Coffs Harbour. All teams who attend the Manager’s meetings will receive plenty of copies, but if you’re a spectator simply ask a tournament staff member for a copy and they’ll grab you one.

  • Hyperactive Merchandising are busy packing their stock for the event…t-shirts, boardies, hats, socks, sports bras, stubby holders and much more. They’ll be downstairs in the normal place, so make sure you drop in to purchase something for yourself or for someone else.

  • The NTL grand finals package will be shown on Fox Sports at the following times: Fox Sports 2 on April 11th at 11pm, Fox Sports 1 April 15th at 1pm and April 17th at 6pm. Make sure you tune in!

  • If you need any stories of pictures sent to your newspapers at home for the NTL, contact Rachel on media@austouch.com.au or 0422 233 165, she will gladly help with this work.

  • The TFA Board of Management (BOM) met for the first time over the weekend with incoming members Bill Ker and Bruce Ainslie in attendance.

  • The ACT Annual General Meeting was also held on the weekend with Melinda Turner elected onto the Board and Claire McNamara returning to the Board.
